As a small open economy, Singapore lies at the confluence of multiple global and local challenges. In an era of accelerating technological change and increasing economic integration, Singapore’s economic policy needs to be ahead of the curve to keep up with the times. With these considerations, the 10th Singapore Economic Policy Forum is themed around “Preparing Singapore for the Future Economy”. Jointly organised by the National University of Singapore (Department of Economics) and the Economic Society of Singapore, this forum aims to highlight key developing trends and potential challenges that Singapore might face in the coming years, and outline possibilities to tackle these challenges. The Forum will feature talks by prominent industry leaders, economists and researchers on a broad variety of topics, such as sharing economy, digital economy and creativity, labour market, fiscal and environmental policies and healthcare amidst an ageing populace and economic challenges.
